About Ty Elis Counselling

Tŷ Elis have been providing counselling services in the Bridgend area for 24 years. Our reputation has built up over the years and we have received support from all the local GP practices and senior local Health Board Mental Health practitioners and professionals in expanding our service. Our founders were a local GP and a local retired social worker who recognised the need for a quality community

counselling service. We currently have practicing and retired GPs and a retired Consultant Psychiatrist on our Board of Trustees who oversee and govern the quality of our service. We are a local community-based charity and a not for profit organisation, created by the community for the community and run by individuals based in the community. Our aim is to support any individual who is suffering from mental distress. Most important to us is the quality of the service we provide to our clients and the support and training we provide to our counsellors, staff and volunteers. All local GP practices continue to signpost clients to us and increasingly practices across South Wales including the Cwm Taf Morgannwg (CTM) area.
